Disability and access guide for Wakehurst
The gardens are large with many gravel and hard surface paths. A sizeable area of the ornamental plantings, lawns and water features around the Mansion is level and accessible via a hard surface path from the Visitor Centre. The remaining garden and woodland areas have steep slopes and steps. A seasonal newsletter including a map is offered free to all visitors and includes an indication of areas suitable for wheelchair users.
Download the Wakehurst Visitor Map, which illustrates the different types of path around the site.
